Car Insurance Dodge (Car Insurance). 1995 Buick Lesabre Custom charging system fault.?1995 Buick Lesabre Custom charging system fault.? My dad's '95 Buick Lesabre Custom has been driving me crazy. I took it for a smog check one day, and noticed that the battery light was on. The alternator was definitely on my mind once I noticed the warning indicator. A couple days later, the car dies on its own while driving. I replaced the alternator as I was getting the battery recharged at the same time. Once installed, battery light is illuminated and car dies on it's own again. I thought that the auto parts store gave me a crappy alternator, so I replaced it along with a new battery as well. Again, battery light turns on and the '95 Lesabre dies on it's own. I replaced the belt because maybe it was old and it wasn't gripping onto the pulleys causing an improper charge. Nope, it still dies on it's own. I hooked up my DMM and you can literally watch the voltage decrease as the engine idles. I began doing some research and stumbled upon this "fuse link" that is within the battery/alternator/starter circuit. It could've blown itself when the alternator was finally giving up. I read that when replacing an alternator, these "fuse links" have to be replaced as well. I pulled up a wiring schematic via Mitchell, and I can't find this "fuse link" that everybody is talking about. I don't know what color it is, there are no TSBs...and I'm beginning to run out of ideas. I can't put my finger that it may be a fuel issue because why would votalge be decreasing while at idle? Thanks in advance for the help. First you need to get a test light or voltmeter to see if bat. wire on alternator has current. Fusible link is at main terminal on starter solenoid, usually pink color. Usually when it is bad car won't start. Whole electrical system relies on bat. and alt. that's why voltage drops. Almost forgot if main terminal on alt. has double wire the thin one is fusible link. Hope this helps.Check this one first, should have joint 6" down wire check voltage there. Dodge . How to Lower a Honda AccordLowering a Honda Accord is a common practice among car enthusiasts and amateur racers looking for improved handling during fast cornering. Lowering your car will provide better handling via reduced body roll and a lower center of gravity, but you will sacrifice some of your car's ride comfort. However, before you go slamming your car to the ground, know that lowering a car's suspension past its operating range will result in poor handling. So you need to know whether you're lowing for "show" or racing purposes. Difficulty:Challenging Instructions Things You'll Need Spring lowering kit Socket set Hydraulic car jack Jack standsEvaluation & Preparation Step by Step : 1 Establish the purpose for you lowering the Honda Accord. Are you planning on taking it to track days and racing, or are you looking to improve your car's show quality? To keep it simple, lowering a car for racing requires raising the suspension mounting points, while reducing spring height. This allows the car to sit lower while maintaining proper suspension operating ranges. On the other hand, lowering a car for show purposes is slightly less time consuming since you won't have to raise the mounting points. However, this will render the suspension less effective, and therefore it is not ideal for hard driving. 2 Chose your preferred spring lowering kit from companies like Eibach, B&G Suspension or ST Suspension. 3 Loosen the lug nuts on the wheels you plan to remove, while the car is under its own weight. Engage the parking brake. 4 Jack the front of the car off the ground high enough so the wheels leave the ground slightly. Jack locations are found directly below the front panel of the car, slightly to the rear of the front tire. You may also use the front cross member of the car's chassis. 5 Place one jack stand on each side of the car underneath the front door. This location is known as the pinch joint. Once both sides of the front are securely raised via the jack stands, lower the hydraulic jack and move either side of the front suspension. 6 Place the hydraulic jack under the front control arm and raise it enough to remove the weight off the top-side mounting nuts of the struts. Completely remove the lug nuts from the wheel and remove the wheel. Lowering Kit Installation Step by Step : 1 Disconnect the brake line from the strut tower bracket using the socket wrench. 2 Locate the knuckle pinch bolt found at the bottom of the strut and remove it. Slowly, lower the hydraulic jack just enough to allow the strut to disconnect from the knuckle joint. 3 Remove the remain bolts that secure the strut to the strut tower and remove the strut. This should be done from inside the hood, rather than through the side of the wheel well. 4 Insert the lowering kit struts re-attaching the components in reverse order. 5 Repeat these steps will the front or all 4 wheels of the Honda Accord, depending on your choice to do a 2- or 4-wheel lowering kit. Tips & Warnings It is highly recommended that you utilize a professional suspension shop to complete the lowering process, as you may need to re-align the steering as well as adjust the camber and caster of the wheels as they ride under weight. It is wise to always have a backup jack or wood beam under the car in case of a jack failure. Never jack all four corners of the car without proper restraints to keep the car from sliding or moving during the repair process. ResourcesAuto Media: Car Lowering Basics
Dodge . How to Remove a TomTom GPS From Its MountTomTom GPS systems attach to the windshield through a mount that clings to the glass with the use of a suction cup. Removing the TomTom unit from the mount takes finesse but overall isn't a tough task. You do not need any tools and the entire process of removing your TomTom GPS unit from its mount takes only seconds to complete. Mainly, you must consider your surroundings and be careful not to bump your head, hand or elbow on the dash, rear view mirror or the windshield. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Step by Step : 1 Grab the TomTom firmly with one hand. Make sure to position your fingers so you only have a hold on the TomTom and not the mount. 2 Hold the base of the mount with your other hand. This keeps the mount attached to the windshield while you pull the TomTom away from the base, allowing the two to separate easier. 3 Pull the TomTom up to slide it up on the track of the mount until it slides completely off. When pulling the TomTom off, make sure to use a slow, controlled motion so you don't slide the TomTom off too fast and hit the windshield. *2. The computer applies electrical current to the injector solenoid for the proper pulse-width, and fuel under pressure is then injected into the intake port just ahead of the intake valve. Some multi-port fuel-injected engines feature fuel injectors that fire in sequence, which means that each injector opens individually just before its intake valve opens. This type of system is more efficient than a system whose injectors fire simultaneously. (For example, if you have a six-cylinder multi- port fuel-injected engine that's simultaneously fired, three of the six injectors 317

Toyota Solara. * Major engine components Inside the engine are several fascinating parts (see Figure 6-11). At the top are the cylinder heads. These contain the mechanisms that allow the valves to open and close, letting the fuel/air mixture into the cylinders and allowing the burnt exhaust gases to leave. Below the cylinder heads is the engine block itself. This piece contains the cylinders, which in turn contain the pistons. Improvements to fuel injection systems One exciting way that fuel injection systems are Now, I'm all in favor of simplification — ever being perfected is the tendency to replace since my mother taught me to always buy the moving parts with stationary ones, and "solid" washing machine with the fewest gadgets on parts with intangible substances.
